Program change: unfortunately, for organisational reasons, the first part of the programme originally planned, consisting of works for brass ensemble by Takemitsu, Shostakovich and Tomasi, has been replaced by Carlos Simon’s ‘Four Black American Dances’ and Bernd Alois Zimmermann’s trumpet concerto ‘Nobody Knows the Trouble I See’.
